Provincial police in Caledon have arrested one man after a fatal single-vehicle collision.
Police and emergency crews were called to Bramalea Road just after 1:30 a.m. on Sunday (April 13) and discovered three people from Brampton inside the vehicle. A 21-year-old was pronounced deceased at the scene while a 20-year-old was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious, life-threatening injuries. The driver was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and was later arrested.
The 23-year-old was charged with impaired operation causing death, impaired operation causing bodily harm and obstructing a peace officer. He is being held in custody pending the outcome of a bail hearing.
