The Town of Caledon will have a new director of development planning on April 15.
A town news release said Sandra DeMaria brings over 20 years of planning experience in municipal and private sector roles. Most recently, she served as the manager of development for Richmond Hill.
“DeMaria brings a wealth of experience in urban development, and we are excited to have her join our team,” said Eric Lucic, commissioner of planning and development. “As Caledon prepares for significant growth, her leadership and experience will be instrumental in creating a thriving, connected and well-planned community.”
DeMaria will provide strategic leadership and oversee operations of the town’s team of development planners, urban designers and zoning staff, as well as planning administrative support.
“I am excited to join the Town of Caledon and work alongside such a talented team,” said DeMaria. “I look forward to working with the talented employees to support thoughtful, well-designed development that improves the quality of life for residents and businesses alike.”
