The Town of Caledon and ecoCaledon have announced an evening of family fun to celebrate Earth Hour 2025.
The event will be held at the Caledon East Community Complex on March 22 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
A magic show, yoga, colouring and an opportunity to contribute to a paint-by-number art piece are part of the evening’s events. There is also a Sustainable Vendor Showcase where people can discover eco-friendly vendors, products and solutions.
An Earth Hour night walk on the Caledon Trail has been scheduled from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. There will also be giveaways and prizes, including one free home energy assessment to better understand energy saving opportunities.
The town said in a news release it is committed to working towards a net-zero future.
“By prioritizing sustainable development, improving energy efficiency in municipal facilities, investing in green technologies, and partnering with local organizations to offer specialized programming, the town is taking steps to limit its environmental footprint.”
