Another day of weather warnings for Caledon and area

Weather advisories for Ontario are in effect today with some areas expected to deal with flash freezing until this afternoon. Areas affected include Peel Region.

Environment and Climate Change Canada issued a flash freeze warning as temperatures are forecast to fall rapidly. Ponding water, slush, and falling precipitation will freeze as the temperature drops, said the weather agency in an alert on Thursday morning.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots will become icy, slippery and hazardous.

There is also a blowing snow advisory for Ottawa Valley, Barrie, Bracebridge, Innisfil and Orangeville, with winds gusting up to 70 km/h, which could cause near zero visibility.
