Officers with the Caledon Provincial Police recently charged three drivers with impaired-related offences in the same shift.
On Feb. 21 just before midnight, police were conducting a RIDE program in the area of Mclaughin Road and Tim Manley Avenue. A vehicle was seen attempting to avoid the location and was stopped a short distance away. A 44-year-old from Brampton was charged with failing to provide a breath sample, a novice driver failing to provide a breath sample, obstructing a peace officer, driving with liquor and cannabis available, driving while under suspension and possession of cocaine.
Early the next morning an officer patrolling Mayfield Road initiated a traffic stop for a Highway Traffic Act violation. A 29-year-old from Sudbury was charged with failing to provide a breath sample.
Later that same morning, police responded to a vehicle in the ditch on Mayfield Road. A 20-year-old from Brampton was charged with impaired driving and a novice driver having a blood alcohol level above zero.
All three are booked in to appear in an Orangeville courtroom on March 13 to answer to the charges.
