Taxpayers in the town will find a three per cent increase on their tax bills next year.
The document was approved by council members recently and carries a total price tag of $205 million.
“The town’s 2025 budget is tied to our strategic plan and our community priorities,” Mayor Annette Groves said in a news release. “It includes an operating budget of $147 million in gross expenditures and capital investments of $58 million to support and advance the mayor and town council’s long-term vision.”
The budget also introduces what the town calls an incremental one per cent infrastructure levy to keep assets in good condition and help address funding gaps.
“This budget reflects the priorities of our residents, balances growth with fiscal responsibility, and invests in the infrastructure and services that matter most to our community,” added Groves. “I am proud of the collaborative efforts of town staff and council in achieving a budget that ensures we continue to remain a vibrant, forward-thinking and inclusive place to live, work and do business in.”
