Members of the Caledon Detachment OPP have laid charges in connection with a drug investigation.
The Caledon OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CCSU) began a drug trafficking investigation earlier this month. Police say they teamed up with CSCUs from Dufferin, Kawartha Lakes and the OPP Central Region Canine Unit.
A search warrant was executed at a Brampton residence where police say they seized cocaine, oxycodone, currency and other property.
A 62-year-old from Brampton was charged with two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, trafficking in a Schedule I substance and possession of proceeds obtained by crime under $5,000.
The accused is scheduled to appear in an Orangeville courtroom on Jan. 6 to answer to the charges.
