Stolen property leads to charges in Caledon

Members of the Caledon OPP Community Street Crime Unit have seized a large quantity of stolen property.

Police say an investigation started in early April 2025 after a report of theft from a Caledon-based company. A search warrant was executed at a residence in Georgetown on April 25, resulting in the recovery of approximately $350,000 worth of stolen property.

The stolen goods were found in a cube van, leading to the arrest of a 40-year-old Georgetown man who has been charged with theft over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and trafficking in property obtained by crime over $5,000.

The accused is scheduled to appear in Orangeville Provincial Court in June.
