Dufferin-Caledon MPP Sylvia Jones again has a prominent role in Premier Doug Ford’s recently re-elected government. She will serve as Deputy Premier and Health Minister, two roles she held in the previous cabinet.
“It is a privilege to be sworn in as Ontario’s Deputy Premier and Minister of Health,” said Jones on her X account. “Under the leadership of @fordnation, I am excited to continue to build on the progress our government has achieved to connect more people to the care they need, close to home,” she added.
Ford named his cabinet yesterday as MPPs were sworn in and many of the appointments are identical from before the election.

Among the changes – Paul Calandra moving from municipal affairs and housing to become education minister, with Jill Dunlop moving from education to emergency preparedness and response.
Rob Flack is the new minister of municipal affairs and housing, Mike Harris becomes minister of natural resources and Todd McCarthy becomes minister of the environment, conservation and parks.
