A 16-year-old from Orangeville has been charged with robbery with a weapon after an incident yesterday afternoon.
Officers from the Caledon OPP responded to a report of an armed robbery near Old Church Road and Atchison Drive in Caledon East at 1 p.m. Police say the incident was between two youths and a knife was displayed to steal personal property.
After a brief search, police located and arrested the suspect. There were no injuries reported.
The suspect will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville at a later date to answer to the charge. The identity of the person is being withheld under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
