Dufferin-Caledon will remain blue. Incumbent Conservative Sylvia Jones has unofficially retained her seat in Queen’s Park.
Jones earned more than 50 percent of the vote, beating out Liberal Michael Dehn from the Liberal party who was a distant second with just over 25 per cent of voter support.
Jones, who was minister of health, will be part of another Conservative government with Doug Ford securing a third straight majority government, winning 81 seats.
With 25 seats, the NDP and leader Marit Stiles will serve as official opposition. The Liberals reclaimed official party status, winning 13 seats.
43 per cent of eligible voters cast ballots in the Dufferin-Caledon riding.
