It’s time to vote in Dufferin-Caledon

It’s election day in Ontario and you have until 9 p.m. to cast your vote to select the province’s next governing party.

To be eligible to vote in a provincial election, you must be 18 years of age or older, a Canadian citizen and a resident of Ontario.

Candidates in the riding of Dufferin-Caledon include the Green Party’s Sandy Brown, Liberal Michael Dehn, Conversative Sylvia Jones, George Nikitsas from the NDP, and the New Blue Party’s Kris Eggleton.
Recent polling suggests Doug Ford’s PC’s have a sizeable lead over the Liberals, the NDP trailing in third place and the Green Party running below 10 per cent of the vote.

The PC’s were elected to a majority government in June of 2022, and four years prior to that when they defeated the Liberal provincial government, in 2018.
Ford called a snap election in January, well ahead of the fixed election date.

Jones won the 2022 election in the riding for the Conservatives.

You can head to the voter information service portion of the Elections Ontario website and enter your postal code to find out where to vote in Dufferin-Caledon.
