Officers from the Caledon OPP have laid charges in connection with a 2022 home invasion.
Police responded to a home invasion in progress on Dougall Avenue near Kennedy Road on Oct. 8, 2022.
The residence was forcibly entered and valuables were demanded. Minor injuries were sustained during the incident and police shared photographs of two vehicles and a person of interest. When police arrived, the suspects had already left the scene.
A 19-year-old Brampton man was arrested on Feb. 3 and was charged with armed robbery, break and enter, two counts of assault, forcible confinement, assault with a weapon, disguise with intent and carrying a concealed weapon.
Because the accused was 17 at the time of the incident, his identity is being withheld under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. He is being held in custody pending the result of a bail hearing.
