A lengthy investigation led by the Caledon OPP’s Major Crimes Unit has resulted in an arrest and 47 charges being laid.
In October 2022, a town business reported fraudulent activity in one of its accounts. On January 28, over two years later, a 34-year-old Barrie man was arrested and charged with 41 counts of fraud under $5,000 and 41 counts of fraud over $5,000.
He will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on Feb. 27 to answer to the charges.
