Brampton man faces stunt driving charge

Provincial Police remind drivers to slow down on a regular basis but it appears one novice driver didn’t get the message.

“92 km/h over the speed limit is never acceptable on any roadway in Ontario, ever,” said a Facebook post by the Caledon OPP.

A 21-year-old male G2 driver from Brampton was stopped recently by a member of the Caledon OPP traffic enforcement unit going 152 km/h in a posted 60 km/h community safety zone.

Police say speed limits exist for a reason and that is to save lives.
The driver was served a roadside 30-day licence suspension, 14-day vehicle impound, and a mandatory future court date to answer to the charge.
